Welcome & assist by Helanka Vactions. Transfer to the hotel in Colombo. Stay at leisure. Leave on a sightseeing tour of Colombo. (Approx.: 3-4hrs). A drive through the city will take you to Fort and Pettah - the commercial area of the city and tree-lined Colombo 7 - Cinnamon Gardens. Colombo 3, 4, 5 & 8 are the prime residential areas of the City. The Hindu Temple at Sea Street - lined with gold smith shops, the Dutch Church at Wolfendhal dating back to 1749, the historic Devatagaha Mosque, Independence Square, BMICH, Gangaramaya Temple and Colombo Museum are some of the attractions in Colombo. After that proceed with shopping. Sri Lanka is renowned for Ceylon Tea, Ceylon Cinnamon, spices, precious and semi-precious gems and jewelry in Silver, gold and white gold. |

The Royal Colombo Golf Club is the oldest Golf Club in Sri Lanka. Established in 1880, it is located in the capital city of Colombo at the Ridgeway Links also known as the Anderson Golf Course. It is home to the Sri Lanka Golf Union, the governing body of Golf in Sri Lanka and maintains links with the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews in Scotland. The Royal Colombo Golf Club is 5770 meters long (par 71). A flat course with broad fairways which look simple to beginners but there are many water hazards and well-guarded bunkers, which quickly change their opinion. The Royal Colombo Golf Club is easily accessible, from all first-class hotels in the city. The 18-hole Royal Colombo Golf Club has been redesigned by architects of world repute, Donald Steel & Martin Ebert. The course is absolutely beautiful. The Club House is studded with comfortable & roomy foyers, a spacious Coffee Shop & much privacy in a fine Dining Room named Ridge ways. |
