Civita di Bagnoregio is a town in the Province of Viterbo in Central Italy.
The town was placed on the World Monuments Fund's 2006 Watch List of the 100 Most Endangered Sites, due to the threats it faces from erosion and unregulated tourism.
The only access to Civita is through the pedestrian bridge leading to the only remaining gate.
Civita is known as "the dying town" (il paese che muore) and the population today varies from about 12 people in winter to over 100 in the summer.

Rome - Cooking lesson

Breakfast at the hotel. Full day excursion to the Roman countryside for a cooking lesson with an English speaking chef and lunch. Round trip with private transfer. |

Day 3

Breakfast at the hotel. Full day excursion to Orvieto and Civita di Bagnoregio (the dying city) with private minibus and English speaking driver. You will be greeted at your hotel in Rome and will make your way through groves of olive trees and lines of vineyards. Take in the gorgeous Umbrian views as you head for Orvieto, where you will spend the morning sightseeing.
After a stop for lunch (not included), continue to the hilltop village of Civita Bagnoregio. Founded by
the Etruscans more than 2,500 years ago, today the population varies from about 12 people in
winter to over 100 in the summer. Return back to Rome. |

Day 4
Rome - Florence - Pisa - Florence

Breakfast at the hotel. Train transfer from Rome to Florence and check in at a 3 star hotel in the city centre. During the afternoon half day excursion to Pisa with an English speaking driver. The itinerary first takes us to Pisa, where you will have free time to explore the most important squares and monuments in the city: the famous Piazza dei Miracoli with the Leaning Tower, the Baptistery, the Cemetery and the Cathedral. On the return back to Florence we will stop for a food and wine tasting. Afternoon at your leisure. |

Florence - San Gimignano - Siena - Florence

Breakfast at the hotel. Full day private tour from Florence to the Chianti area with a private car/minibus and English speaking tour guide. During the tour we will stop in the typical towns of San Gimignano and Siena and also for a food and wine tasting. Return in Florence in the evening. |

Breakfast at the hotel. Private walking tour in the historical stores of Florence with English speaking tour guide, an original way to discover this cultural city. Walking along the narrow streets of the Santa Croce neighborhood, you reach the first workshop. While walking, the guide will describe the characteristics of Florentine neighborhoods, focusing on the history of the local arts and crafts. Once in the first workshop, you attend a demonstration on how to create marbled papers. Then walking towards the second workshop (varying between ancient book binding and restoration, ceramics, wood carving or textile restoration) and demonstration in the laboratory. Stop for lunch (included) in a typical restaurant. In the afternoon visit the jeweler production workshop, located close the old Roman Gate. |
