Day 1

Guwahati

Arrive Guwahati by air. Meet our driver. Proceed to Kamakhya Temple, the Shakti Temple of mother Goddess Kamakhya situated on the top of Nilachal Hills, overlooking the river Brahmaputra. We will also visit Bhuvaneswari Temple at the hill top. Later check into a hotel. Afternoon visit emporia and market. Evening take a one hour cruise on the river Brahmaputra River. Note - Evening cruise is subject to river conditions.

Day 2

Guwahati - Shillong (105 Kms / 3 hrs)

After breakfast transfer to Shillong. Check into Hotel on arrival. Later visit the Don Bosco Center Of Indigenous Cultures in the city (Sunday Closed). Evening visit Police Bazar - Shillong prime location where the wares on sale range from electronics to traditional handicraft, modern clothing to handloom items, vegetables and traditional spices etc.

Day 3

Shillong - Day Trip Cherrapunjee (56 Kms / 2 & Half hrs)

After breakfast drive to Shillong Peak, one of the highest points in the whole of Meghalaya plateau. Later drive to Cherrapunjee one of the highest rainfall area in the world and visit the Thankharang Park (from where one can see the plains of Bangladesh), Seven Sisters fall, Nohkalikai fall, Mawsmai Cave. Return to Shillong, En-route visit Elephant fall. Cherrapunjee, locally and officially known as Sohra, is 56 kms from Shillong, and a "must see" destination for all tourists. Apart from being the record holder for the heaviest rainfall, it was the headquarters of the Khasi/Jaintia province during British rule which was however shifted to Shillong in 1864, due to the inconvenience caused by excessive rain during the monsoon months. The average rainfall is 12,000 mm a year and the record for a single day was 2455 mm recorded in 1974 confirming it as the "Wettest place on Earth".

Tour price quoted is valid till April, 2016 and is subject to change should there be any hike in the fuel and hotel rates.

Please note that some of the sights/itinerary may change due to time limit, weather, national holidays, and special events. We maintain the rights to alter the itinerary since tours are made in advance and unforeseen circumstances that mandate change may arise. Itinerary changes are made to improve your overall travel experience.

The duration mentioned in the itinerary may not be precise; it is the time that can be expected when strictly driving, depending on the present road conditions. Otherwise, the journey is conducted in such a way that we always stop midway for visiting villages, markets, photography, major landmarks of importance or interest depending on the client’s interest.

Also note that as travel period is during early Monsoon, you may expect light drizzles and sporadic rainfall.

The rates are subject to availability of hotel accommodation and sightseeing tours at the time of booking. We reserve the right to use an alternate hotel accommodation of an equal or higher standard. If we source a more expensive alternative, we reserve the right to re-quote based on the higher rates.
Prices are not valid during Trade Fair periods, Festival periods and block out periods.
Surcharges may be applicable on certain dates, some hotels in some cities charge a surcharge on weekends / weekdays.

As a practice all international hotels take a security deposit at the time of check-in. The amount is generally blocked on the client’s credit card or they can pay cash to the hotel. The amount will vary according to the hotel and is refunded back to the clients upon check out. Debit cards should not be offered as it will be charged immediately and refunded only after 2-3 weeks. JTI Holidays would not be responsible for these transactions and these are solely between the hotels and the clients.

International Check in time is 1400hrs / Check out time is 1100hrs, early check in and checkout is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
Tours on Seat in coach basis starts from designated point & clients have to make their own way to the departure point.
Transfers wherever included are without night surcharges, (Extra charge for arrival between 1900hrs and 0700hrs)
Sightseeing’s tours are strictly based on weather conditions and also local service providers have rights to cancel the sightseeing tours without prior notice.
