Day 1
Arrival and Drive from Paro to Thimphu.
Our representative will receive you at the Paro International Airport, Paro (2280m) and escort you to the Thimphu, the Capital city. The drive normally takes about an hour and a half. If Thimphu is reached early, you can go out in the town and mingle with the Bhutanese people. Dinner will be served in the hotel. |

Day 2
Thimphu sightseeing (2320m)
After breakfast visit :- National Library which was established in 1967 and has many ancient Dzongkha and Tibetan texts), Painting School or the National Institute for Zorig Chusum (the 13 traditional arts and crafts like painting, woodcarving, embroidery and statue making) than visit National Memorial Chorten which was built in 1974 in memory of the third King of Bhutan.
Tashichhodzong ( Tashichhodzong the seat of the government of Bhutan. It houses the secretariat, the Throne Room, His Majesty's secretariat, the Ministry of Home and Cultural Affairs and the Ministry of Finance ).
Afternoon visit Zoo : (The Motithang Takin Preserve in Thimphu is a wildlife reserve area for takin, the National Animal of Bhutan. Originally a mini-zoo, it was converted into a preserve when it was discovered that the animals refrained from inhabiting the surrounding forest even when set free ).
If the sightseeing falls on the weekend you can visit Thimphu's open vegetable market where farmers from the nearby regions gather to sell their produce. Back to Hotel for Dinner. |

Day 3
Thimphu to Punakha/Wangdue Phodrang
The first stop on this road journey is at Dochula pass at 3,140 meters. Dochula is about 23 kilometers from Thimphu and during a clear day it offers a clear view of the Himalayas. After refreshments in Dochula the journey continues to Punakha. Lunch will serve en-route to Punakha, after that sightseeing in Punakha.
Visit :- Punakha Dzong was built in 1637 and was the former capital of Bhutan. It lies at the confluence of the Mo Chu (female river) and the Pho Chu (male river). Punakha Dzong still serves at the winter residence as the winter residence of the Central Monk Body. Way to Punakha you can view Chimi Lhakhang, It is also known as Chime Lhakhang or Monastery or temple, is a Buddhist monastery in Punakha and it was built in 1499. Return to hotel where dinner will be served. |

Day 5
Bumthang Sightseeing
After breakfast Visit :- Jakar Dzong: (It is located on a ridge above Jakar town in the Chamkhar valley of Bumthang. It is built on the site of an earlier temple established by the Ralung hierarch Yongzin Ngagi Wangchuk (1517-1554) when he came to Bhutan.)
Jambay Lhakhang : (It was founded by, Songtsen Gampo, a Tibetan King in the 7th century AD. The king was destined to build 108 temples known as Thadhul- Yangdhul (temples on and across the border) in a day to subdue the demoness that was residing in the Himalayas. The temple is one of the two of the 108 built in Bhutan.)
Kurjey lhakhang : (This is another sacred monastery which comprises three temples. These three temples are surrounded by a wall with 108 choetens.) Check in to Hotel. |

Day 6
Bumthang to Punakha Via Gangtey
After breakfast drive to Punakha. Way to Punakha visit Gangtey Goempa in Phobjikha valley. Gangtey Goempa overlooks the large green expanse of Phobjikha valley, a glacial valley on the western slopes of the black mountain range. The valley is an important wildlife centre in Bhutan and is the roosting ground of the endangered blacked necked cranes that fly there from the Tibtean plateau during the winter grounds. After that journey continue to Punakha. |

Day 8
Hike to Paro Taktshang / (Tiger Nest)
After breakfast, Hike to Paro Taktsang Monastery. which is about eight kilometres north of Paro town to visit Bhutan's most well known monastery, Taktshang or Tiger's Lair perched on a cliff 900 metres above the valley floor. Legend has it that Guru Rinpoche, who brought Buddhism to Bhutan in the eighth century flew to a cave in Taktshang spot on a tigress and mediated for three months.
Alternative : (for those who don't want to do Hike)
Visit : National Museum housed in the Ta-Dzong which was built in 1656 and served as the watch tower of Paro Dzong in the past.
Paro Dzong, It also called the Rinchen Phug Dzong, which means fortress on a heap of Jewels. Paro Dzong is one of the most impressive and well-known dzongs of Bhutan and was built in 1644. |
