One of the holiest places on earth, Vaishno Devi Mandir in Jammu Division nestles at an altitude of 5300 ft above sea level. Vaishno Devi Mandir is one of the holiest Hindu temples dedicated to Shakti, located in the hill of Vaishno Devi, Jammu and Kashmir, India. In Hinduism, Vaishno Devi, also known as Mata Rani and Vaishnavi, is a manifestation of the Mother Goddess. Located at an altitude of 5200 feet above sea level and at a distance of approximately 14 kms from Katra, this is the second most visited religious site in the country. The shrine contains images of three deities - Mahakali, Mahalakshmi and Mahasaraswati who are all reincarnations of Goddess Durga. The Mata Vaishno Devi Temple is acknowledged as one of the Shakti Peeths of Goddess Durga.

Arrive Jammu - On to Katra (48 kms / 2 hours drive approx.)

Welcome to Jammu, the City of Temples! Upon arrival at Airport / Railway Station in Jammu, you will be transferred to your hotel in Katra to begin your tour of 'Vaishno Devi Darshan'. The rest of the day is at leisure or you can just stroll around the market. |

Day 2
Katra - Vaishno Devi Ji Darshan - Katra

Early morning after breakfast, proceed for visit to "Mata Vaishno Devi" Darshan. Start your onward pilgrimage to Bhawan by foot or Ponies (to be arranged directly) or by Chopper. After Darshan, leave by Chopper / Ponies for Katra back. Rest of the day is free at leisure after Darshan. |
